Hbc Rewards
Hbc Rewards are available through
purchases at any of the Hbc owned stores (The Bay, Home
Outfitters, Zellers, Fields). Hbc Rewards is now Zellers loyalty
program, replacing the now defunct Club Z loyalty program.
Members earn 50 points per dollar spent (excluding
taxes). You receive another 50 points per dollar when
purchases are made on you Hbc credit
card. This results in 100
points per dollar spent (excluding taxes) for members making
an Hbc purchase on their Hbc credit
card.
Gold Status
This status has been eliminated. There is now only one
membership tier.
Redemptions
Hbc maintains a catalogue of products that can be
purchased with accumulated points. If you don't have enough
points to purchase an item than you can also pay cash to cover
the remainder of the cost.
A $100 gift card costs 800,000 points at the basic level
($100/800,000 points = $0.000125 dollars/point), so each point
is worth ~1/125th of a cent based on this benchmark.
Points can be converted
to Air Miles.
Strategies
Price Match
Zellers will price match any advertised
competitor's price, so if you find a lower price at any
competitor (even a grocery store like No Frills, then you can
present the advertisement when cashing out and the price will
be adjusted to the competitor's price. You can earn Hbc points
while still obtaining the lowest price, using this method.
Please see Pricematching.ca for more information.
